About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our Children in Care team in West Essex. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and young people, ensuring their experiences in care are positive and preparing them for a successful transition into adulthood.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, working closely with children, young people, and their families to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identifying the needs of children and young people, and providing tailored support to address these needs.
  • Build strong relationships with children, young people, and their families, providing emotional support and guidance to help them navigate challenging situations.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including foster carers, residential staff, and other agencies, to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to supporting children and young people.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, policies, and best practices in social work, applying this knowledge to inform your practice and improve outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent.
  • Registration with Social Work England as a registered Social Worker.
  • Demonstrable capability of practice in accordance with current professional standards, including the Professional Capability Framework (PCF) and Knowledge & Skills Statement (KSS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
