Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Counselling Educator to join our team at Sandwell College. As a key member of our Counselling department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver specific programmes that focus on Counselling, in line with the college prospectus and contributing to our aims and objectives.
  • Course Development: Assume joint responsibility within course teams for the quality of course delivery and work with an agreed teaching load to teach groups of students in one or more of the core programme areas.
  • Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students to ensure successful outcomes and a positive overall experience at the College.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (L5 or above) or willingness to work towards obtaining this qualification.
  • Experience: A solid background in Counselling, a commitment to student development, and a passion for teaching.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
