Job Summary:
NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Practitioner (GP) to lead our Screening Programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for working across General Practice and other relevant partners to support national screening programme governance and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic interventions to improve access to screening, particularly among people living in our most deprived communities.
- Work with General Practice and other partners to support national screening programme governance and delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address health inequalities.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve screening uptake and participation.
- Provide leadership and guidance to colleagues on screening programme governance and delivery.
Requirements:
- Registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the GP Register with a licence to practice.
- Current or previous experience of working as a GP.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work strategically with partners to drive change.
- Passion for tackling health inequalities.
