About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a Senior Procurement Manager role with a reputable housing association brand. As a key member of our Procurement team, you will be responsible for leading procurement projects across various areas of spend, including FM, Repairs, Construction, IT, Sales, and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on procurement projects for various areas of spend, ensuring a responsive, high-quality, commercial, and customer-focused procurement service.
- Manage, monitor, and coordinate the procurement forward plan, developing and delivering effective sourcing strategies to deliver cost savings and added value.
- Actively manage strategic relationships with suppliers and lead on commercial negotiations, ensuring compliance with Public Procurement Regulations and internal Group policies.
- Lead high-value, complex procurement projects in line with Public Contracts Regulations, creating and implementing key processes to support the Procurement function.
- Manage a team of high-performing procurement professionals, supporting their development and leading the team in developing and delivering the procurement programme through an effective business partnering approach.
Requirements:
- Strong end-to-end generalist procurement experience across indirect or direct services.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management and stakeholders.
- Ideal Public sector procurement background with experience in a highly regulated environment.
- Experience of Public Contract Regulations is a must, and training for new procurement act is required.
- Experience of developing and embedding third-party management frameworks.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Well-organized, process-oriented, and team-oriented with the ability to prioritize quickly.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to initiate and manage work with minimal supervision.
- Commercially aware and financially astute.
