Our client, a leading food waste recycling company, is part of a global multinational committed to collection and conversion services. They specialize in recycling edible oils and food fats for various end-user industry sectors, including biofuels and energy generation.
As the company's Supply Chain Logistics Planner, your primary responsibility will be to develop a comprehensive logistics plan for the Supply Chain Department.
The Role:- Prepare a robust weekly logistics plan in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Report any breaches to the fleet Manager in a timely and appropriate manner, providing all potential options/solutions at that time.
- Coordinate with drivers to allocate collections/deliveries in accordance with WTD/Drivers hours rules.
- Customer and supplier liaison to help plan the weekly requirements and ensure optimum efficiency of the fleet.
Work with all other internal departments to effectively handle complaints, events, non-conformances, and ensure support plans are in place to maintain long-term supplier/customer relationships.
Manage imports and exports of product on occasion, coordinating haulage and preparing relevant paperwork as required.
Work closely with the production team and Supply Chain Manager to manage material flow in/out.
Support the implementation and development of systems to help continuous improvement throughout the logistics operation.
Ensure all appraisal paperwork is completed in accordance with guidelines and maintain personal responsibility for your own personal development, including any continuous professional development your role demands.
