Position: Electrical Maintenance Technician (Dayshift) - Permanent

Location: Cramlington, Northumberland

Compensation: Approximately £42,000 annually + Monthly On-Call Allowance

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week

As part of the Maintenance Engineering team on the day shift, the Electrical Maintenance Technician will be tasked with planning and executing maintenance activities, project initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain data within the CMMS
  • Formulate action plans to enhance asset performance
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and support operational excellence
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and perform breakdown repairs
  • Engage in project work and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain equipment logs and supervise subcontractors
  • Prioritize tasks and manage maintenance requirements
  • Serve as the primary contact for maintenance operations
  • Uphold safety as the foremost priority

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Qualified electrically biased Engineer with relevant experience
  • Familiarity with PLCs, AC/DC drives, HMI, SCADA systems
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
  • HNC in electrical/electronic engineering is preferred
  • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Team-oriented with excellent diagnostic skills
  • Proficient in computer use and self-motivated
  • Adaptable, responsible, and able to work under pressure
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement and positive contributions
