We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lecturer to join our Film Academy team at Blackburn College. As a lecturer in film and television/media production, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the film and television industry.

The successful candidate will have a UK Honours degree or UK ENIC recognised degree in a relevant subject and a PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification. They will also have practical experience of working in the film, television or media industries and experience of working in an educational environment.

As a lecturer in film and television/media production, you will be responsible for planning, teaching and assessing Level 2 and Level 3 vocational courses focused on the film, television and media production industries. You will also be expected to lead on the planning and delivery of our new BFI-backed Saturday Club, working under the Film and Music Curriculum Manager to encourage more young people to fulfill their potential and join our exciting industry.

We are looking for a driven and committed staff member who can complement the delivery of our Level 2 and Level 3 programmes of study. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and practical expertise, with the ability to use and demonstrate current industry-standard production and post-production practices to create film, television and media.
