Cyber Security Operations Team Leader

About the Role:
DGH Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Operations Team Leader to join a leading client in the professional services industry in Glasgow. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing technical aspects and team supervision, ensuring the effective handling of cyber security operations with a global reach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage technical aspects of cyber security operations, including SIEM, CASB, DLP, Email Monitoring, EDR, and other relevant tools.
- Supervise and lead a team of cyber security professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective handling of cyber security operations.
- Manage escalations to a satisfactory outcome, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Deliver BAU initiatives and small internal projects using agile methodologies, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including team members, management, and external partners.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies, ensuring the team remains informed and equipped to respond to emerging threats.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of cyber security operations with other IT systems and processes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of cyber security policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Broad understanding of cyber security tooling, including SIEM, CASB, DLP, Email Monitoring, EDR, and other relevant tools.
- Strong technical team leadership and people management skills, preferably gained in a global organisation.
- Experience managing escalations to a satisfactory outcome.
- Experience delivering BAU initiatives and small internal projects using agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and escalate issues or flag risks as necessary.
- Experience working in a global environment and across multiple time-zones.
- Experience working with Jira, Azure DevOps, ITSM tools such as Cherwell and ServiceNow, and the MS Office suite.
