About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to join our Adult Community Mental Health team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of mental health nurses, providing guidance and supervision to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide education and training on mental health topics, promoting best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and experience.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a strong background in community mental health.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a track record of delivering high-quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health legislation, policies, and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a community setting.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the changing needs of the service.
