About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Research Nurse to join our Renal and Oesophagogastric Research team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading research projects, coordinating clinical trials, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead research projects and coordinate clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and good clinical practice.
  • Provide expert clinical research nursing care to patients participating in clinical trials, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement research protocols, ensuring seamless integration with clinical practice.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical trial sponsors, research organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure successful trial execution.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with trust objectives.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance research practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research developments, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and research outcomes.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse with current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
  • Post-graduate qualification in oncology and/or clinical research (desirable).
  • Experience of oncology nursing and clinical research (essential).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
