Clinical Research Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated nurse to join the Head & Neck Research Team as a Band 6 Research Nurse.
Main Duties:- Assessing and managing the care pathways for research participants.
- Coordinating clinical trials from set up to archiving and meeting patient recruitment targets.
- Ensuring research is conducted within regulatory requirements and safeguards patient well-being.
- Facilitating high-quality research and raising the profile of clinical research nurses.
- Work autonomously in clinical research practice.
- Deliver care in accordance with regulatory-approved clinical research protocols.
- Ensure NHS permissions are in place prior to patient recruitment.
- Participate in clinical trial feasibilities and risk assessments.
- Record clinical trial activities in appropriate systems.
- Arrange and facilitate clinical trial-related meetings.
- Communicate complex clinical trial information to patients.
- Contribute to the development of specialist care pathways.
- Demonstrate awareness of divisional and trust strategic objectives.
- Act as a primary contact point for clinical trial patients.
- Maintain professional knowledge and practice through training and development.
- Registered General Nurse with current registration.
- First Degree or relevant clinical experience.
- Experience of oncology nursing and working autonomously.
- Ability to demonstrate evidence of service improvement.
This role requires a highly effective communicator with advanced organisational skills and good written and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be able to manage their workload autonomously and have demonstrable IT skills.
