As a key member of our team, you will support our Small Gas Turbine fleet in various field activities, including commissioning, overhauls, and troubleshooting.


HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Execute pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks across various application types and control systems (e.g., PCS7, CLogix).
  • Conduct STARMS setup, troubleshoot systems by interpreting control logic, and perform cause and effect checks on fire and gas monitoring systems (software validation only).
  • Carry out starting and operational checks, including knowledge of operating and driven units, and perform root cause analysis for start failures.
  • Set up DLE mapping and conduct trim balancing.
  • Understand packager requirements, including quality systems and their implications on task execution.
  • Foster strong working relationships with relevant business partners and external clients in line with customer-centric principles.
  • Proactively enhance team performance on-site and address potential issues before they affect team morale or the company’s reputation.
  • Transfer knowledge effectively to customer operating teams.
  • Mentor and train commissioning team members.
  • Lead on-site teams, including Siemens Energy staff, third-party workers, and customer operatives.
  • Contribute to overall project planning, both on-site and off-site, in collaboration with key business stakeholders.
  • Complete necessary site visit documentation, such as reports and modifications, and identify, define, and implement best practices in Field Service.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A proven engineering background, qualified to degree level or equivalent, with experience in rotating equipment and an understanding of gas turbine operations.
  • Previous experience in commissioning or troubleshooting gas turbines or similar capital equipment.
  • Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills.
  • A natural ability to lead teams across different countries, combined with strong technical qualifications.
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice as required.
  • A proactive approach to self-management, ensuring alignment with key targets and objectives.
