A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY
As a key member of our team, you will support our Small Gas Turbine fleet in the field, engaging in a variety of tasks including commissioning, overhauls, and troubleshooting.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Execute pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks across various application types and control systems (e.g., PCS7, CLogix).
- Conduct STARMS setup, troubleshoot systems by interpreting control logic, perform cause and effect checks on fire and gas monitoring systems (software validation only), carry out starting and operational checks, perform root cause analysis of failures, set up DLE mapping, and conduct trim balancing.
- Understand packager requirements, including quality systems and their implications on work methods.
- Foster and maintain effective working relationships with relevant business partners and external clients, adhering to customer-centric principles.
- Proactively enhance team performance on-site and address improvement areas before they affect team morale or the Siemens brand.
- Transfer knowledge effectively to customer operating teams.
- Mentor and train members of the commissioning team.
- Lead and manage on-site teams, including Siemens Energy staff, third-party workers, and customer operatives.
- Contribute to the overall project planning, both on-site and off-site, in collaboration with key business stakeholders.
- Complete necessary site visit documentation, such as reports and modifications, and identify, define, and implement best practices in Field Service; responsible for developing and implementing world-class Field Service standards in all work aspects.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A proven engineering background, qualified to degree level or equivalent, with experience in rotating equipment and a solid understanding of gas turbine operations.
- Prior experience in commissioning or troubleshooting gas turbines or similar capital equipment.
- Strong customer focus and exceptional communication skills.
- In addition to technical qualifications, you will be an effective communicator and leader, capable of managing teams across different countries.
- A flexible approach to travel is essential, as you may need to mobilize on short notice.
- A proactive attitude towards self-management, ensuring alignment with key targets and goals.
