About the Role

Field Service Commissioning Engineer - Small Gas Turbines

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Field Service Commissioning Engineer for Small Gas Turbines. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our small gas turbine fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for small gas turbines, including setup, troubleshooting, and validation of control systems.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with business partnering teams and external customers, adhering to Think Customer principles.
  • Proactively drive team performance on site, addressing areas for improvement to ensure team morale and the Siemens brand are positively impacted.
  • Contribute to the overall planning of projects, both on and off site, in conjunction with key business stakeholders.
  • Complete required site visit documentation reports, modifications, and identify, define, and implement Field Service best practices.
Requirements
  • Proven engineer with a degree-level qualification or equivalent, experienced with rotating equipment and an understanding of gas turbine operations.
  • Previous experience in commissioning and/or troubleshooting gas turbines or similar capital equipment.
  • Excellent customer focus and communication skills, with the ability to influence teams in different countries.
  • Flexible attitude to travel, with the ability to mobilize on short notice.
  • Pro-active attitude towards self-management, ensuring key targets and goals are met.
