Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing high-speed digital printed circuit boards utilizing the latest FPGA, microprocessor, and high-speed interconnect technologies. They will also support the full hardware lifecycle, from requirements analysis to integration with the target system, and provide documentation and progress reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design high-speed digital printed circuit boards using the latest technologies
  • Support the full hardware lifecycle, from requirements analysis to integration
  • Provide documentation and progress reports
  • Work with a multi-disciplined team to solve complex system integration problems
  • Analyze system-level requirements documents and understand their application to hardware designs
  • Design high-speed serial communication links and knowledge of associated protocols and architectures
  • Hands-on experience with hardware, firmware, and software integration of microprocessor-based designs
  • Methodical approach to the full hardware design lifecycle, working to a structured hardware process
  • Debugging, testing, and verification of new designs and supporting their commissioning and integration into the target system
  • Liaise with suppliers of key components and assemblies
  • Communicate effectively across different disciplines both verbally and in written form
  • Work on own or as part of a team to resolve technical issues
  • Schedule work and manage time in keeping with project timescales and budgets
