Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to craft and execute comprehensive communication strategies that resonate with a diverse audience, including stakeholders from media, public affairs, community relations, and employees.

Role Responsibilities

Key Duties

  1. Design and implement communication strategies for significant initiatives, collaborating with various stakeholders to produce impactful content, campaigns, and events that align with business objectives.
  2. Build and nurture strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders to support their internal communication objectives.
  3. Oversee communication efforts that may pose reputational risks or present opportunities for the organization.
  4. Develop a robust network of internal and external contacts, providing guidance and influence to senior management and industry partners as necessary.
  5. Identify and curate content for internal communication platforms, facilitating the flow of information across communication teams.
  6. Offer strategic advice on communication activities undertaken by senior personnel, ensuring alignment with corporate communication policies.
  7. Ensure compliance with branding guidelines and visual identity standards.
  8. Assess the effectiveness and budget adherence of communication initiatives, identifying areas for improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
  9. Lead a team, conducting regular performance reviews, setting objectives, and onboarding new contractors as needed.
  10. Execute the communications plan for major incidents as required.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • A degree or a professional qualification in communications (e.g., IoIC, CIPR, PRCA) or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in corporate communications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior management.
  • Strong influencing capabilities.
  • Ability to articulate and promote complex and sensitive issues in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Capacity to develop and sustain a broad network of stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated planning and financial management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Desirable

  • Experience in directing and managing agency partnerships.
