Medical Communications Manager: Associate Level

Role Overview
As a Medical Communications Manager, you will be tasked with the development of high-caliber medical communication and educational initiatives tailored for clinical audiences. You will become an expert in specific therapeutic areas, collaborating with leading medical professionals and our pharmaceutical and biotech partners to produce compelling content for educational events, digital platforms, and enduring materials. Your role will be pivotal in shaping and executing strategic communication plans within our medical communications teams.

Key Responsibilities

Crafting outlines and frameworks for medical education activities, encompassing in-person events, digital initiatives, and lasting materials. Assisting top medical experts in generating content for medical communication and educational projects, including presentations and supplementary materials. Overseeing project management, ensuring effective prioritization, return on investment, and appropriate delegation for medical education/communication projects within a designated therapeutic area, maintaining accuracy, quality, and adherence to timelines. Executing medical education/communication projects within an assigned therapeutic area, ensuring medical accuracy, quality, efficiency, and compliance with timelines. Leading project discussions with pharmaceutical and biotech clients and medical experts to align on project scope and content direction, including preparation for meetings. Providing direction and oversight when assigning projects to internal and external medical writers, editors, and studio personnel, ensuring high-quality output and alignment with medical/scientific objectives. Supporting client team meetings and discussions. Contributing to the development of medical education/communication strategies. Effectively communicating project status and changes to internal and external stakeholders, offering recommendations for actions to achieve desired outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills Required

PhD in life sciences, MD, PharmD, or a biomedical MSc with relevant professional experience. Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge in unfamiliar therapeutic areas. Strong strategic and critical thinking skills, along with robust analytical capabilities. Proficiency in crafting compelling narratives from research data. Capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects. Resilience under pressure and adaptability. Exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook). Excellent command of the English language with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
