Job Opportunity: Assistant Head of Department

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce Team is partnering with a leading Further Education College in Cambridge to recruit an Assistant Head of Department for their Multi Skills & Trowel Occupations department. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head of Department in overseeing and enhancing the curriculum for Study Programmes, Apprenticeships, and Adult courses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing day-to-day support to the Multi-Skills Trowel Trades teams.
  • Developing and implementing a teaching support cover rota for the Department.
  • Supporting the development and embedding of a collaborative approach to planning, preparation, and adaptation of resources to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Embedding English & Maths throughout the curriculum and at the centre of all study programmes.
  • Leading and managing staff and resources within the Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades area across both campuses.
