About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Palliative Care Assistant to join our team at Compton Care. As a Senior Palliative Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals living with complex and incurable conditions, as well as their families and carers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver healthcare to patients and provide emotional and psychological support, working in partnership with the patient and in collaboration with internal colleagues and the external health community.
  • Provide accessible, innovative, and influential care for people living with complex and incurable conditions in our communities.
  • Support patients and their families in managing their conditions and improving their quality of life.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Participate in delivering healthcare to patients and providing emotional and psychological support, working in partnership with the patient and in collaboration with internal colleagues and the external health community.

Requirements

  • Experience of providing care in a health or social setting, with an NVQ level 3 in care or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate compassion and sensitivity towards service users and colleagues.
  • Ability to use IT and be familiar with packages such as Word and Excel.
