About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team at Clancy. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering commercial excellence for our clients and ourselves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise subcontractors and manage accounts to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Provide support to the Commercial Manager and oversee the commercial team to ensure seamless operations.
  • Address client disputes and conduct internal audits to maintain a high level of commercial integrity.
  • Maintain the commercial risk register to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Verify the accuracy of measurements during weekly valuations to ensure accurate cost reporting.
  • Conduct cost analysis and implement cost reduction initiatives to optimize project profitability.
  • Review contracts and analyze rates to ensure fair and competitive pricing.
  • Generate comprehensive Cost Value Reports (CVRs) for all projects to provide stakeholders with accurate and timely information.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent commercial and communication skills to provide competent leadership to internal stakeholders and cultivate client relationships.
  • Inspiring, influential, and charismatic communication skills to effectively land key messages and problem-solve.
  • Exceptional Excel skills to analyze and present complex data.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or significant experience in a similar position.
