Job Title: Environmental Test Engineer

As a key member of our Mechanical and Climatic Test Department, you will be responsible for delivering complex test campaigns on defence programmes, utilizing cutting-edge equipment and techniques. Your test activities will include multi-shaker and multi-axis vibration, high g shock, altitude, humidity, and other test conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver varied and complex test campaigns on defence programmes
  • Apply tests using cutting-edge equipment and techniques
  • Conduct multi-shaker and multi-axis vibration, high g shock, altitude, humidity, and other test conditions
  • Work in accordance with company and local quality procedures to ensure all testing is conducted to the required standard
  • Collaborate with other teams to conduct functional testing, equipment maintenance, and test planning

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND/Degree qualified in a relevant subject or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Good problem-solving skills and a sound fundamental knowledge of mechanical structures and analysis
  • IT competence, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using measurement equipment and devices, including accelerometers, thermocouples, strain gauges, etc.
