Environmental Test Engineer Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Test Engineer to join our Mechanical and Climatic Test Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering complex test campaigns on various programmes, utilizing cutting-edge equipment and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and execute multi-shaker and multi-axis vibration tests (random, sine, and mixed mode)
  2. Conduct high-g shock, altitude, humidity, and other environmental tests
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless test planning and execution
  4. Work closely with engineers to develop and implement test procedures and protocols
  5. Ensure all testing is conducted to the required standard for missile development and qualification

Requirements:

Essential:

  1. HNC/HND/Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  2. Strong problem-solving skills and fundamental knowledge of mechanical structures and analysis
  3. Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software
  4. Experience with measurement equipment and devices, including accelerometers, thermocouples, and strain gauges
  5. Self-motivated and excellent interpersonal skills
  6. Methodical and logical approach, with a focus on safety and quality

Desirable:

  1. Leadership experience in project delivery or team management
  2. Previous experience with Siemens Testlab vibration control equipment or other automated mechanical test systems
  3. Ability to identify and implement technical improvements
