Role Summary

In this position, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, particularly focusing on design, construction verification, and post-completion savings. You will work collaboratively with both external and internal design teams to create feasible designs that minimize construction and operational risks, achieve energy savings, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of funding proposals, including applications for the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS).
  • Conduct Investment Grade Audits (IGA) and develop Heat Decarbonisation Plans (HDP).
  • Perform non-intrusive site assessments to identify potential savings in areas such as lighting, HVAC, metering, building fabric, central plant, infrastructure, and renewable energy sources.
  • Evaluate potential carbon and energy savings, associated costs, and payback periods for energy initiatives.
  • Engage with clients, technical teams, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Ensure the efficient and timely execution and completion of assigned projects, including the planning of necessary internal and external resources.
  • Foster and maintain productive relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors, subcontractors, and trade personnel.
  • Provide development and training opportunities for team members as needed.
  • Stay informed about the latest regulations and industry guidelines.
  • Work on client sites across various locations.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably in Energy Engineering.
  • Professional membership with the Energy Institute or a similar organization is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience, ideally within an energy performance contracting or energy consulting environment, working on active sites.
  • Experience in delivering Energy Performance Contracts, conducting energy audits, and producing reports for both high-level and investment-grade audits.
  • Strong background in engineering design and construction, energy modeling, report generation, and solution development.
  • A keen interest in learning and staying updated with energy policies and relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines.
