Manager of Business Operations and Support - Customer Assistance at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation

Educational Background and Experience RequirementsA Bachelor's Degree in aviation science, business administration, finance, or a related discipline is essential, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that adequately prepares the individual to fulfill the core responsibilities of the role. Extensive supervisory experience is required, alongside 8 years of relevant administrative, operational, or financial experience, particularly within the aircraft maintenance sector. Position Objective: To coordinate and execute a range of administrative and support functions for the Service Center Business, including: workforce and business strategy, resource management, revenue forecasting, personnel management, and budget formulation and oversight. Supervise support staff to ensure timely and precise invoicing for clients.Role ResponsibilitiesPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:- Oversee and mentor business and support staff. Formulate departmental policies and procedures to guarantee efficient resource utilization.
- Assist in the development of business planning for Product Support at the designated facility. Monitor the plan, including workforce, non-salary expenses, travel, etc. Provide revenue forecasts for labor, paint, parts, fuel, and miscellaneous sales.
- Create, implement, and manage precise, up-to-date, and comprehensive information and reporting systems to ensure all invoices for completed services are issued, monitored, and paid promptly.
- Prepare Work Change Requests (WCRs) for potential services on client aircraft. Track actual charges against tasks with established standards and assign standards as necessary. Resolve invoicing discrepancies by investigating and negotiating customer agreements.
- Generate activity progress and accrual reports, financial analyses, and other management reports as required. Manage special projects as assigned.
- Supervise and direct the credit status and receivables accounts to ensure maximum benefit for the company.
- Develop streamlined processes for the business office and product support areas, emphasizing support for production efficiency initiatives.
- Negotiate solutions with other Gulfstream facilities when inter-company financial matters arise.
- Set annual objectives for the Business and Support team. Monitor performance to ensure objectives are met.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and possess excellent communication skills.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to be innovative and resourceful in addressing constantly changing requirements and situations.
- Must be proficient in computer applications.
- Current knowledge of applicable FAA regulations is mandatory. Familiarity with international certification requirements is preferred.
- A pilot's license or mechanic certification is advantageous.
