Role Overview

We are seeking calm and confident Relief Support Workers in the Durham area to offer tailored support to individuals with learning disabilities, complex needs, and challenging behaviors. Your role will enable these individuals to engage in various opportunities for personal growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to service users, adapting to their unique communication styles and needs.
  • Work across a 24-hour service, covering various shifts including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
  • Utilize positive communication skills to foster engagement and demonstrate unconditional positive regard for those we support.
  • Operate within a positive behavior support framework, accepting responsibility and developing your skills as a practitioner.
  • Collaborate effectively within a supportive team environment, adhering to established guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience in a Relief Support Worker capacity is essential. Compensation is provided on a weekly basis.
