Senior Building Surveyor

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join their expanding Cambridge office. As a leading construction and property consultancy, they offer a comprehensive range of services across various sectors, including commercial, healthcare, education, defence, residential, and community projects.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or masters in building surveying, 2 years of PQE experience, and be MRICS or MAPM qualified. They will have varied project and sector experience, as well as project management skills.
The Senior Building Surveyor will act as a building surveyor on various projects, liaising with team members and others as necessary. They will manage similar works undertaken by junior colleagues, ensuring quality and timeliness of service provided to clients. The role also involves managing own workload, reporting to team lead and office Partner on financial forecasting and progress of commissions.
The successful candidate will have the autonomy to develop business and deliver services in a variety of sectors. They will continually improve own profitability by managing time and resources allocated to projects and ensuring that time spent on projects is recorded and fee invoicing is carried out at appropriate stages.
The Senior Building Surveyor will attend site for meetings to understand and clearly define clients' expectations, providing advice and keeping them informed of progress. They will prepare and contribute toward fee bids relevant to building surveying and multi-disciplinary projects.
