Job Overview

Mothercare PLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Buying Assistant to support the Buying team in Apsley. This role is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in product development, sourcing, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Buyers and Assistant Buyers to identify and deliver product strategies for the Baby and Boys department.
  • Ensure timely production and availability of products, liaising with manufacturing partners as needed.
  • Input accurate information into systems and supporting documents to maintain style information.
  • Support the smooth running of the department, including global sign off and selling events.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
  • Collect and collate critical path management information.
  • Manage product development processes to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
  • Provide administrative support, including meeting room bookings, post and parcel distribution, and maintaining a tidy department.
  • Benchmark market trends to stay up-to-date with competitive activity.
