As a Lead Technical Sales Consultant, you will be instrumental in maintaining existing client relationships while also identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Your role will involve specifying and promoting the company's offerings, staying abreast of technological advancements, recommending enhancements, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to sales inquiries and manage the preparation of quotations.
  • Conduct site assessments and propose tailored solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Convert client inquiries into detailed technical specifications and formal proposals.
  • Log and track sales quotations and orders in accordance with company protocols, ensuring effective communication with the Production Department.
  • Oversee the sales process from initial concept through to completion, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively seek out new clients and understand their needs to provide effective solutions.
  • Engage with clients and potential clients, nurturing relationships, following up on leads, and closing sales opportunities.
  • Provide technical support through various communication channels.
  • Make informed product recommendations to clients and distributors.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Deliver weekly sales forecasts to the Sales Director and participate in regular sales meetings.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated success in a B2B sales environment, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or electrical sectors.
  • Methodical and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, mechanical installations, and pipework.
  • Professional and approachable demeanor.
  • Organized, focused, and driven by sales objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with CRM tools.
  • Strong business administration capabilities.
  • Integrity, trustworthiness, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in the Mechanical/Electrical Pumping industry or related services is preferred.
