About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Analyst to join our team at Allied World. As a key member of our Ceded Reinsurance department, you will play a critical role in supporting the administrative processes of our team, including reinsurance submission preparation, data analysis, and audit oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reinsurance Submission Preparation: Assist in gathering data from various departments, including Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial, and Claims, to support reinsurance submission preparation.
  • Treaty Placement Process: Work closely with our VP Ceded Re in the London office to ensure seamless treaty placement processes.
  • Claims Notification and Review: Support individual facultative claims noticing and review facultative underwriting summaries.
  • Document Coordination: Assist in coordinating the availability of documents and timing for claims, underwriting, transactional, and Ceded Re audits, as well as audits performed by external auditors.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Assist in preparing individual claim notifications and invoices, and work with brokers and reinsurers to ensure receivable balances are collected.
  • Operational Support: Assist the AVP, Operations Lead, Ceded Reinsurance with responsibilities including review of treaty premium adjustments, data setup for new products, and contract wording execution.
Requirements
  • Education: B.S. in Business, Math, or related major preferred.
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of insurance or finance-related experience.
  • Skills: Exceptional MS Office skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail and quantitative skills, ability to work to deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work with various internal constituents, including underwriting, claims, actuarial, finance, and IT departments.
  • Adaptability: Ability and willingness to work outside normal office hours and global travel as required.
