Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and supervising a team of care workers to provide safe, effective, and responsive care to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership
  • Develop and supervise a team of care workers to provide high-quality care that meets the needs and preferences of each customer.
  • Support each customer to live their life the way they choose, respecting their dignity and privacy at all times.
Care Planning and Coordination
  • Develop and implement effective care plans that meet the individual needs and wishes of each customer.
  • Coordinate care services to ensure seamless delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Emergency Response
  • Participate in the out-of-hours emergency on-call rota as required.
  • Effectively deal with emergency on-call issues, covering calls when care workers are absent or unavailable.
Administrative and Reporting
  • Record emergency calls and pass information to the local branch.
  • Maintain clear written records and follow statutory reporting procedures.

  • Caring and compassionate towards people in need of care and support.
  • Respect for people with different backgrounds and beliefs, commitment to non-discriminatory care practice.
  • Self-motivated and keen to learn, willing to seek guidance when needed.

Knowledge and Understanding

  • Good understanding of the needs of people who require care and support at home.
  • Knowledge of effective care and support planning that is centered on individual needs and wishes.
  • QCF/NVQ L3 or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of health and safety matters about home care services and the risk assessment process.
  • Sound understanding of the principles of good care practice.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in communicating clearly and building positive working relationships with people who use social care services and social and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to support customers with all aspects of their daily living in a non-judgmental and respectful manner.
  • Experience in care services.
  • Skills in care and risk assessments and writing care and support plans.
  • Ability to plan and organize workloads effectively.
  • Ability to use own initiative and work alone or as part of a team.
  • Good administrative skills and computer literacy.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of care workers and provide appropriate support, guidance, and training.
