Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and supervising a team of care workers to provide safe, effective, and responsive care to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership
- Develop and supervise a team of care workers to provide high-quality care that meets the needs and preferences of each customer.
- Support each customer to live their life the way they choose, respecting their dignity and privacy at all times.
- Develop and implement effective care plans that meet the individual needs and wishes of each customer.
- Coordinate care services to ensure seamless delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Participate in the out-of-hours emergency on-call rota as required.
- Effectively deal with emergency on-call issues, covering calls when care workers are absent or unavailable.
- Record emergency calls and pass information to the local branch.
- Maintain clear written records and follow statutory reporting procedures.

- Self-motivated and keen to learn, willing to seek guidance when needed.

Knowledge and Understanding
- Good understanding of the needs of people who require care and support at home.
- Knowledge of effective care and support planning that is centered on individual needs and wishes.
- QCF/NVQ L3 or equivalent.
- Good understanding of health and safety matters about home care services and the risk assessment process.
- Sound understanding of the principles of good care practice.
Experience and Skills
- Experience in communicating clearly and building positive working relationships with people who use social care services and social and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to support customers with all aspects of their daily living in a non-judgmental and respectful manner.
- Experience in care services.
- Skills in care and risk assessments and writing care and support plans.
- Ability to plan and organize workloads effectively.
- Ability to use own initiative and work alone or as part of a team.
- Good administrative skills and computer literacy.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of care workers and provide appropriate support, guidance, and training.
