Project Overview

As a seasoned Mechanical Project Manager, you will take charge of the mechanical packages on a residential refurbishment initiative. This project has an overall build value exceeding £20 million.

Your role will involve collaborating with engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to guarantee the seamless execution of mechanical installations while complying with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must possess the following professional credentials:

  • SMSTS
  • Valid CSCS / JIB Card
  • First Aid - Desirable

Additionally, you should have the following experience:

  • Demonstrated industry expertise with a history of successfully managing mechanical packages on projects valued over £10 million.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role with a leading contractor or subcontractor.

Role Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring site health and safety
  • Providing expert mechanical knowledge
  • Addressing issues that may affect project timelines
  • Conducting comprehensive project reviews and evaluations
  • Monitoring project expenditures to ensure budget adherence
  • Developing detailed cost estimates and budgets for the project
  • Promptly addressing client concerns or issues
  • Identifying potential risks and formulating mitigation strategies
  • Maintaining consistent communication with all project contractors
  • Coordinating with procurement for timely delivery of materials and equipment
  • Creating detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Supervising daily project activities to ensure progress aligns with the plan
  • Performing routine inspections and audits to verify compliance with industry standards
  • Guiding and inspiring project teams, ensuring clarity on roles and responsibilities
  • Providing regular project updates and progress reports to relevant parties
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date project documentation
  • Collaborating with engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders for smooth project execution
  • Establishing and maintaining quality control standards to meet project requirements
