Gleeson Recruitment Group is currently working with a Business Services Organisation based in Coventry to recruit a Cash/Banking Assistant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and allocate payments, including BACS, CHAPS, cheques, and direct debits.
  • Deal with allocation queries and ensure all controls are maintained.
  • Perform daily bank journals and reconciliation, as well as centre banking reconciliation.
  • Handle payments and reconciliation, and respond to queries from centres and other departments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the department.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience of bank reconciliations and cash management.
  • System skills, including intermediate Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to identify issues and use initiative to solve problems.
  • Self-motivated team player with a willingness to help others and go above and beyond their formal role.
  • Exercise discretion when dealing with confidential information.
  • Organised and methodical approach to work.
