Financial Operations Specialist

RG Consultancy is pleased to be partnering with an established engineering company to find a highly skilled Senior Accounts Assistant to join their team on a 12-month maternity contract.

This Senior Accounts Assistant role will serve as the primary point of contact in accounts and report to a Finance Manager in a sister company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing sales and purchase ledgers
  • Preparing and closing month-end ledgers
  • Coordinating payroll preparation
  • Overseeing all incoming and outgoing payments
  • Preparing accounts to trial balance
  • Managing cashbooks and bank reconciliations

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who has a strong background in managing accounts and has experience with payroll. Familiarity with Xero would be an asset.

The role will cover a maternity leave and will be approximately 30 hours per week, which can be either four full days or spread across five shorter working days.
