Finance Manager Job Description

Brook Street is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all risk and control aspects of Accounts Receivable, including overseeing general ledger account reconciliations, reporting, and billing to clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts, and enter data into accounting software or databases.
  • Prepare financial statements showing business income and expenditure.
  • Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances.
  • Completing VAT returns.
  • Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the accountant of errors.
  • Recording any inconsistencies to help the accountants reconcile inaccuracies.
  • Developing monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets.
  • Preparing employee wages.
  • Managing employee expense claims.
  • Assisting the Accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts.
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) preferred.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders at all levels, analyze gaps in current operations, and turn plans into action.
  • Finance process experience (AP, AR, Financial Control, Reporting).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sage 50 and Excel (Advanced) is a must for this role.
