About the Opportunity
Driscoll's, a global berry company, is seeking an experienced wholesale customer development manager to lead the launch of its brand in the UK market. This is a unique opportunity to join a multinational corporation with a mission-driven approach, focused on delighting consumers through alignment with customers and growers.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have experience in managing third-party distributor relationships, building joint business plans, and activating trade marketing initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Building and executing joint business plans with partner wholesalers across the terminal produce market, independent retail, and foodservice spaces.
- Creating a world-class wholesaler engagement plan to foster enduring relationships and genuine partnerships.
- Developing and executing a trade marketing plan to drive new Driscoll's business through existing wholesale customers.
- Managing key stakeholders at central head office level within Compass to make Driscoll's a front-of-mind brand.
- Winning listings in Compass and driving execution at site level by creating an execution plan with site-level chefs and retail teams.
- Managing an executive to gain traction at site level and influence head office decisions across all wholesale and contract catering customers.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Sales capability, with the ability to explain the power of berries to various business types and channel owners/operators.
- Ability to prepare a well-structured sales pitch deck to engage with routes to market owners, category managers, and sales teams.
- Collaborative skills, with the ability to work with colleagues and external partners to achieve win-win solutions.
- Strategic mindset, with analytical skills and the ability to determine the viability of new channels or outlets.
- Drives engagement, creating a motivating atmosphere to achieve common goals.
- Self-governance, with the ability to provide regular progress reports and track progress against sales targets and joint business plans.
