About the Role:

As a CBRE Regional Facilities Operations Director, you will oversee the daily activities of the team responsible for the management and upkeep of facilities within a designated area.

This position is part of the Facilities Management sector, focusing on all operational aspects of a portfolio of assets, providing assistance to Property Managers regarding maintenance and investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise team members formally. Oversee staff training and development. Conduct performance assessments and provide coaching. Manage the recruitment and onboarding of new personnel.

• Oversee facilities management for multiple locations, ensuring leadership of FM Coordinators and visiting smaller sites as needed.

• Direct daily operations within the assigned area and act as the primary liaison with regional leadership.

• Serve as the main point of contact for all strategic, operational, and financial matters within the region on behalf of the organization.

• Manage all facets of on-site facilities management activities.

• Responsible for the operational budget, ensuring that facilities staff deliver services within the allocated budget.

• Drive operational initiatives, including cost savings, quality, health, safety, and environmental sustainability.

• Develop and execute short- and long-term operational strategies for the facilities, ensuring they remain relevant and effective.

• Coordinate tasks among the CBRE team, vendors, and contractors.

• Foster positive relationships with clients and address issues promptly and tactfully.

• Implement a regular site inspection program to assess all locations within the portfolio and generate comprehensive reports.

• Organize and oversee the daily activities of the team. Establish work schedules, assign responsibilities, and provide cross-training. Set and monitor deadlines for staff and departments. Offer mentorship and coaching as necessary.

• Manage the delivery of on-site services by collaborating with the CBRE team, vendors, and contractors.

• Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Recommend operational improvements, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.

• Oversee environmental health and safety protocols for facilities, including contractor management and adherence to safety best practices.

• Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure positive client interactions.

• Participate in workplace experience training to enhance service delivery.

• Develop and sustain positive client relationships. Hold regular meetings to discuss regional facilities performance.

• Report on property assessments, emergency preparedness, site inspections, and facility audits.

• Formulate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with contract specifications.

• Prepare presentations to secure project approvals.

• Establish strategic facility management goals for clients. Generate capital project proposals, operating budgets, and variance reports.

• Regularly inspect facilities for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Lead by example, demonstrating behaviors aligned with organizational values. Influence stakeholders to reach consensus.
  • Leverage knowledge of your discipline and its integration with others to achieve team objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex challenges that may not be apparent in existing systems and processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, with 3-5 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to communicate sensitive and complex information effectively, set performance expectations, and manage issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with a proactive mindset.
  • Advanced mathematical skills, capable of performing complex calculations such as percentages and financial analyses.
