The Duty Supervisor will play a key role in supporting the Food and Beverage Manager in the operation of front of house guest services at the University of Reading. This involves ensuring that services run legally, responsibly, and in a financially viable manner that meets and exceeds guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Food and Beverage Manager in the day-to-day operation of front of house services
  • Ensure that services are delivered to a high standard, meeting and exceeding guest expectations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Monitor and control costs to ensure financial viability

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service focus
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and numeracy skills
  • Good understanding of campus catering and bar outlets in a university or equivalent setting
  • Basic understanding of profit and loss accounts
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
