Join Our Team as a Dermatology Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Dermatology nurse to join our team as a Dermatology Nurse Specialist. As a key member of our community care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients and their families across the community.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated nurse to develop their leadership skills and contribute to the growth and development of our community Dermatology service. You will work closely with our Service Manager and Lead Nurse to shape and develop the service, promoting high-quality, evidence-based care through your own nursing practice and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist advice, assessment, and support to patients and their families across the community
  • Work independently in prescribing clinics and carry out minor operations, punch biopsies, curettage, shave, and simple excisions
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet the needs of patients with complex skin conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care
Requirements
  • NMC Level 1 Registered Nurse
  • Non-Medical Independent Prescriber (V300)
  • Specialist training in Dermatology-specific assessment and treatment
  • Extensive clinical experience relevant to community Dermatology
