Health and Safety Project Supervisor
Fixed Term Position

This position is crucial for assisting the Project and Factory team in overseeing and managing contractors and suppliers on-site throughout the construction and commissioning phases. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager on-site, you will ensure that Health and Safety regulations and protocols are consistently followed. Responsibilities will include issuing permits, reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements, conducting inductions, and performing daily site monitoring.

This is an exciting phase in the evolution of our product range within Ibstock Futures, as the establishment of a new facility offers a significant opportunity for lean optimization and industrialization. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering our Health and Safety culture on-site and in executing a key strategic investment.

Key Responsibilities:
? Provide dedicated Health and Safety support to the Project Team
? Ensure consistent application of Health and Safety standards throughout the Project
? Implement a defined Health and Safety system for the Project
? Conduct site audits and inspections
? Promote safety observations
? Design and deliver safety briefings and toolbox talks
? Manage contractor control, including vetting, induction management, database oversight, and review and approval of risk assessments and method statements.
? Issue and manage permits to work.
? Facilitate safety training for the project team
? Collect and analyze relevant information
? Collaborate with key suppliers and OEMs to ensure Health and Safety compliance
? Focus on our latest capital investment project in West Yorkshire, which involves constructing a factory building and installing state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment.

Essential Skills and Experience:
? IOSH Managing Safety/NEBOSH General Certificate
? Experience in Project Management
? A proven commitment to continuous improvement
? Strong numeracy and communication skills
? High self-motivation and willingness to travel/stay away from home
? A collaborative team player who engages with colleagues at all organizational levels.
