Within the Frasers Group Finance Division, you will encounter a dynamic environment where each day presents new challenges. Acquisitions Accounting Responsibilities:
- Managing the financial reporting of the Group's various acquisitions in accordance with IFRS 3 Business Combinations, including necessary disclosures in both Group and subsidiary financial reports.
- Collaborating with Administrators and external consultants to ensure comprehensive understanding and documentation of transactions.
- Presenting the potential financial implications of acquisitions to the Chief Accountant and Director of Finance, aiding in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Overseeing the audit procedures related to acquisitions, ensuring timely provision of all required documentation to auditors and addressing inquiries promptly.
Group Financial Reporting (IFRS):
- Conducting reviews of the monthly consolidation for Frasers Group PLC, including variance analysis against forecasts and previous years.
- Engaging with External Auditors to address audit inquiries throughout the year-end audit cycle.
- Assisting the Chief Accountant with complex accounting matters, such as share schemes, derivatives, and international subsidiaries.
Property Financial Management:
- Taking ownership of the financial accounting related to the Group's property valuations and impairment assessments.
- Coordinating with internal and external advisors on property valuations to be reflected in financial instruments, ensuring accurate accounting in Frasers Group PLC and subsidiary financial statements.
- Reviewing forecasts and variances in collaboration with the property management team throughout the fiscal year.
- Managing the audit process for property accounting, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided to auditors and inquiries are addressed in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong understanding of FRS102 and IFRS standards.
- Highly driven with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrates resilience in a rapidly changing environment, capable of thriving in a fast-paced commercial setting where priorities frequently shift.
