About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Children's Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Queen Mary's Hospital. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality, responsive care to children and their families within the London Borough of Wandsworth.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide expert assessment, treatment, advice, and information to children with special educational needs, collaborating closely with parents, carers, and education professionals.
- Support and guide health colleagues, teaching staff, and families in managing complex cases, offering structured guidance on occupational therapy needs within educational settings.
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary team environment, working alongside physiotherapists and speech and language therapists to deliver comprehensive care.

Essential Requirements
- Approved Degree Level Training in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with the Health Care Professions Council as an Occupational Therapist
- Relevant postgraduate courses
- Experience working in community settings, leading to a sound understanding of NHS policies and procedures.
- Experience working with children with physical disabilities, autism, developmental coordination disorder, and other related disorders affecting daily activities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
