**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team at East London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care using the Trust's clinical record keeping system.
  • Participate in service and business planning activities for the locality and the whole mental health service.
  • Attend and participate in the Trust's academic programme, including lectures and seminars as part of the internal CPD programme.
  • Attend monthly CAMHS Consultant meetings and other relevant professional meetings.
  • Maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council and abide by professional codes of conduct.
  • Participate annually in a job plan review with the clinical manager to ensure the post is developed to take into account changes in service configuration and delivery.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register or CCT in an appropriate specialty (or within 6 months).
  • Experience of both CAMHS and LD.
  • Higher academic degree.
  • Exercises sound clinical risk management.
  • Commitment to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, academic and clinical.
  • Enthusiastic and organised approach to audit and quality assurance.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Higher training in a specific psychotherapeutic treatment or modality.
  • Experience in a research project.
  • Publication accepted by peer review journals in a relevant academic field.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to other venues in the community, including patients' homes.
