Job Title: Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental disorders in children and adolescents.

About the Role

The Consultant will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex needs. This will include conducting psychiatric assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines for the management of neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Provide education and training to junior staff and other healthcare professionals
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a primary medical degree, full GMC registration, and inclusion on the Specialist Register or CCT expected within 6 months of interview date. They will also have experience and training in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as knowledge of clinical governance and care quality.
