ABOUT THE ROLE

Gunzilla Games is seeking a skilled and experienced Release Manager to oversee the release processes for our AAA title, Off The Grid. This role is crucial in managing the infrastructure necessary for successful launches across multiple platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that all products meet game release and update standards while designing and maintaining effective release pipelines.
  • Facilitate collaboration among teams to guarantee compliance and successful launches, coordinating with cross-functional teams to plan release schedules.
  • Oversee the entire release process, from build preparation and testing to deployment and post-launch monitoring.
  • Manage a centralized service to monitor game readiness, coordinating with development and QA teams to ensure builds are prepared and validated.
  • Establish clear objectives for each build, overseeing integration and certification for various platforms.
  • Address daily development challenges and assess potential impacts on releases, managing communication with external partners.
  • Work with team leads to maintain accurate release schedules and communicate plans to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate build deliveries and configure game products on store platforms, providing regular updates on release progress.
  • Maintain comprehensive release documentation, including procedures and dependencies.
  • Engage with platform stakeholders regarding each game release, including certification processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 3 years in Senior QA, Release Management, or Producer roles, with experience in managing multi-platform releases for AAA titles.
  • Experience in live service operations and overseeing release scheduling and certification.
  • Strong understanding of game publishing strategies across major platforms.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of game development processes and platform requirements.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and release management tools.
  • A passion for video games and a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and external partners.
  • Experience in addressing player issues post-release.
  • Strong communication skills for accurate release data tracking.
