Are you looking for a fulfilling opportunity? We are enhancing our workforce and are in search of an Experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician to join NOV Monopumps, a leader in Industrial Pumps & Mixers. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in the assembly and testing of NOV products. Your technical proficiency will be essential in ensuring superior customer service and maintaining an efficient workspace.
As an Experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for your output, utilizing various manufacturing techniques and skills. This position presents a chance to confront challenges, improve your technical abilities, and expand your knowledge through engaging projects.
Core Responsibilities:
- Equipment Assembly: Assemble Pump & Mixer systems in accordance with company protocols.
- Component Installation: Install components and modules based on engineering schematics and technical requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with team members during the assembly and installation phases to ensure seamless operations.
- Testing Procedures: Execute production tests following established guidelines and accurately complete testing documentation.
- Quality Control: Verify that all assembled components are suitable for their intended use and adhere to quality benchmarks.
- Safe Tool Operation: Employ machines, hand tools, and power tools safely to secure components.
- Safety Compliance: Operate machinery safely, ensuring products meet quality standards.
- Work Documentation: Maintain records of all tasks performed for tracking and accountability.
- Rotating shifts of 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm.
- Fixed night shift from 10pm-6am.
Required:
- Completed apprenticeship in a Mechanical Engineering field, equivalent to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3.
- Experience with PC pumps and wastewater product assembly.
- Understanding of Mechanical Seals.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Training in manual handling / Slinging & Lifting.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
- HNC / HND qualification or equivalent with a focus on Mechanical Engineering.
- Extensive experience with PC pumps and wastewater products, preferably in a service environment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
- Certification in Motor Wiring.
