Mechanical Assembler position available with a globally operating engineering organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading organisation that supplies the Oil & Gas industry with critical systems, products and services. Initially established almost 200 years ago, this impressive engineering organsation now employs around 30,000 people in over 500 different locations across the world.

Following continued demand of their products & services, this employer has created an excellent opportunity for an Mechanical Assembler to join their team on an initial contract basis for 6 months (this could be extended or even be offered as permanent, but this is not guaranteed).

This Mechanical Assembler is based in Middleton, meaning that the successful individual will easily be able to surrounding towns & cities including Oldham, Rochdale, Central Manchester, Bolton, Bury, Ashton-under-Lyne and Stockport.

**Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Assembler will include**:

- Assembling various products and carrying out hydro-static & pressure testing, with a view of ensuring that all products are able to perform to the intended specifications
- Effectively using various tools & equipment to ensure that products are assembled correctly and in line with drawings
- Upkeep of general housekeeping, ensuring that workspaces are clean, tidy and functional
- Previous experience working in a similar role, within an engineering, manufacturing or production environment
- Able to interpret basic engineering drawings and use most types of hand tools
- Desirable (NOT ESSENTIAL): A counterbalance forklift truck license and overhead crane experience

**Details of the Mechanical Assembler position will include**:

- Hourly Rate Between: £15.31 - £16.19 (inclusive of shift allowance)
- Working Hours: 36 Hours per week, with the option to work a fixed AM or PM shift pattern:

- Option 1: Monday to Friday - 06:00 to 14:00
- Option 2: Monday to Friday - 14:00 to 22:00
- Contract Length: 6 Months - potential for extension but not guaranteed
