Position: Mechanical Assembly Technician


We are currently seeking skilled Mechanical Assembly Technicians for a significant project within the heavy machinery engineering sector.

Contract Duration: Initial three-month engagement

Company Overview: Our client is a prominent player in the engineering and construction industry, specializing in heavy plant operations.

Role Overview: As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be tasked with supporting the enhancement of critical capital projects on-site. Your responsibilities will include working with various mechanical components such as:

  • Gearboxes
  • Bearings
  • Conveyors
  • Drives
  • Motors

Additionally, you will be involved in the installation of new walkways, gantries, and hand railing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with mechanical specifications through a strong technical understanding.
  • Interpret and work from mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills while maintaining a focus on health, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Site Safety passport is advantageous.
  • Apprentice trained with NVQL3 in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
