Job Opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist/Psychological Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Psychologist/Psychological Therapist to join our dynamic team at the Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust. This is a 12-month fixed term/secondment opportunity working within the H.O.P.E team, a psychology-led service that has been co-developed alongside individuals with lived experience of mental health services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide assessments, therapy, and group interventions through a combination of video calls and face-to-face appointments across community venues in Northumberland.
  • Be involved in providing specialist training and supervision to various professionals working in primary care settings, including GPs, primary care mental health workers, and reception staff.
Key Duties
  • Conduct one-to-one assessments and therapy sessions.
  • Lead group interventions and provide triage services.
  • Offer supervision and training to colleagues.
Requirements
  • An Honours Degree in Psychology recognized for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society, or a related qualification.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in psychological assessment and therapy appropriate to the designated pathway.
  • Experience in psychological therapy, including assessment, formulation, and interventions, drawing on evidence-based psychological models and knowledge.
  • Experience of working with individuals with mild, moderate, severe, and enduring mental health problems, including personality disorder.
  • Skills in working with people with interpersonal/relational difficulties.
  • Training in Clinical Supervision.

This role will involve working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality services to individuals with mental health needs.
