Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity to join the Canary Wharf Group plc team within the membership and ecosystem function. Reporting to the Director at Canary Wharf Group plc and working closely with other departments, the Membership and Ecosystem Liaison will be the key point of contact for our community of technology businesses and wider network of mentors, investors, and partners.
The successful candidate should be a team player, have an interest in technology and innovation, and use a proactive approach to supporting and connecting these networks to best support the growth of the companies that call Canary Wharf home.
Main Responsibilities:
- Nurture relationships with existing member companies, and act as point of contact to discuss changes to their membership (upgrades, downgrades, etc).
- Meet with prospective members (direct applicants and referrals), researching applicants for suitability and coordinating new member meetings to better understand their company and requirements.
- Understand and clearly communicate the benefits of Canary Wharf Group plc membership to visitors, members, and prospects.
- Organise and administer member on-boarding, which includes meetings, licencing and tours.
- Maintain existing member and prospect data, tracking meetings and actions using CRM system, HubSpot.
- Organise and administer curriculum activities, including 1-1 sessions and group workshops with mentors and investors.
- Support members with introductions to mentors, partners, and investors as appropriate.
- Develop relationships with Canary Wharf Group plc's industry network of mentors, investors, and partners, facilitating community engagement activity where relevant.
- Represent Canary Wharf Group plc at events, including those taking place at Canary Wharf and externally at relevant industry events.
- Support the Canary Wharf Group plc team on internal member events.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in community engagement and/or customer service.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
- Keen interest in working with technology startups.
- A self-starter and able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Confidence in meeting new people and able to build rapport with customers, prospects, and partners.
- Prepared to work flexibly, including out-of-hours attendance of events where needed.
- Able to reflect the company core values: Excellence, Engagement, Collaboration, Ownership, and Innovation, into everyday performance.
