About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Education Support Worker to join our team at Wessex Lodge School. As an Education Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Non-Verbal and Pre-Verbal and Communicational difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils in educational settings, including classrooms and outdoor activities
  • Assist with personal care duties, such as toileting and feeding
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the needs of each pupil
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Wessex Lodge School is a growing educational institution that provides a supportive and inclusive environment for pupils with complex needs. Our school comprises two sites, Wessex Lodge School in Frome and Newmead Farm in Maiden Bradley, offering a range of subject paths, including animal care, horticulture, DT, and forest school, as well as sporting activities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A Full Manual Driving LicenceProven experience of working with pupils in an educational setting and working with autistic pupilsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA commitment to providing high-quality support and care to our pupils
